Chase Botson drove in four runs, scored three, had three hits and stole two bases Tuesday as Danbury’s baseball team defeated Cardinal Stritch 9-3 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference.

Mike Stys struck out one and walked two while allowing five hits and three runs (one earned) in 6 1/3 innings for the Lakers. Ben Schank recorded the final two outs.

Alec Catlton had two hits, including a double and scored one run while Justin Tibbels added one run, one hit and one steal for Danbury (9-12).

“Great win,” Lakers coach Adam Steinbrick said. “Hopefully we take the momentum into (today) versus (St. Mary Central Catholic in a Division IV sectional championship matchup).”
