Johnstown Harrier Showdown
Taylor Hopkins (16:46.31) placed first overall to lead Heath (35 points) to the title in the Hawks race Saturday at the Johnstown Harrier Showdown. Also scoring for Heath were Chandler Wilhelm (seventh, 18:00.75), Caleb Large (18:04.50), Dylan Karr (ninth, 18:08.12) and Nick Lee (10th, 18:08.45).
In the Hounds race, David Drushal of Lakewood (17:12.64) won to lead the Lancers to the team title (52 points). Johnstown (83) placed third, Utica (100) fourth and Northridge (194) eighth.
Following Drushal for Lakewood were Frank Marshall (ninth, 19:07.55), Cam Vayansky (12th, 19:24.99), Joey Landis (17th, 19:38.27) and Jesse Chirdon (30th, 20:31.67).
Leading Johnstown were Paul Lang (fourth, 18:30.49), Lane Sidner (10th, 19:13.83), Clayton Walker (16th, 19:36.05), David Dennis (25th, 20:16.30) and Brenna Scurlock (41st, 21:24.27).
Connor Gulick (fifth, 18:34.11) led Utica, followed by Bradley Hardesty (sixth, 18:38.24), Brendon Fondirest (18th, 19:42.08), Demitri Lowry (33rd, 20:43.45) and Matt Talty (51st, 22:21.92).
Leading Northridge were Matt Krehel (20th, 19:59.77), Jesper Lund (44th, 21:32.99), Colin Evans (50th, 22:17.52), Graham Garee (63rd, 23:43.64) and Zach Smith (70th, 25:16.86).
Newark was third at the Harding Invitational (83 points), led by Owen Keith (5th, 15:50), Jacob Todd (8th, 16:19), Keegan Znosko (16th, 17:00), Bruce Davisson (26th, 17:15) and Zane Romine (28th, 17:18).
Les Eisenhart Invitational
Granville was eighth at the Les Eisenhart Invitational (236 points), led by Joe Pappas (5th, 15:43), Jonny Lukins (16th, 16:10), Tyler Keenan (28th, 16:36), Jack McGonagle (95th, 17:40) and Thomas Patton (113th, 17:48).
Licking Heights was twenty-fifth (767 points), led by Dalton Weber (134th, 18:08), Spencer Queen (168th, 18:47), Cole Weaver (191st, 19:30), Andrew Lako (197th, 19:52) and Joseph Forrester (203rd, 20:36).
