Rank-Team-Record-Last week’s rank
1. Southern (30-4, 1st)
The No. 1 seed Rams defeated No. 9 seed Lacey, 2-0 on May 13, in a Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinal round game. Southern hasn’t lost a game to a Shore Conference team this year.
2. St. John Vianney (21-4, 3rd)
The No. 2 seed Lancers defeated No. 7 seed Donovan Catholic, 2-0, on May 13, in a SCT quarterfinal round game. St. John Vianney also hasn’t lost a game to a Shore Conference team this year.
3. CBA (15-11, 2nd)
The No. 3 seed Colts defeated No. 6 seed Red Bank Catholic, 2-0, on May 13, in a SCT quarterfinal round game. CBA has only lost to three Shore Conference teams this season and those losses were to Southern, Colts Neck and St. John Vianney. CBA and Colts Neck played twice in the regular season and CBA won the last meeting, hence the higher spot in the ranking at this time.
4. Colts Neck (14-5, 9th)
The No. 4 seed Cougars had a bye into the SCT quarterfinals and then defeated No. 5 seed Central Regional, 2-0, on May 13 in the SCT quarterfinals. Because Colts Neck lost the second meeting against CBA, the Cougars were placed behind the Colts in this version of the rankings.
5. Red Bank Catholic (12-6, 4th)
The No. 6 seed Caseys lost to No. 3 seed CBA, 2-0, on May 13 in the SCT quarterfinals. The Caseys have lost to four Shore Conference teams (Colts Neck, Central, St. John Vianney and CBA) this season. Because Red Bank Catholic beat Central in the second meeting this season, the Caseys are ahead of the Golden Eagles in the rankings.
