Braden Mann is about to finish one chapter of his football playing career and begin the next, but the Cy-Fair (Cypress, Texas) punter and kicker wants to be around football as long as he can.
“Outside of football, I’d like become a strength and conditioning coach after college,” he said. “Ever since I started playing sports I’ve been very interested in getting stronger and faster. If I don’t continue to play sports, I would love to be a coach and still be connected to the game.”
Mann has committed to Texas A&M, where he is expected to contend as a freshman for the kicker and punter roles, but he will finish his high school career in the Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 2 in Orlando.
The Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance came to Cy-Fair on Wednesday to present an honorary jersey to Mann, ranked as the No. 2 kicker prospect in the nation by ESPN. Kohl’s Kicking Camp has him ranked as the No. 2 punter and No. 5.
