With only one Super 25 team losing to a non-ranked team, the only new team in this week’s Super 25 high school football rankings is No. 25 Mainland (Daytona Beach, Fla.), but there is still plenty of movement.

The Buccaneers improved to 4-0 as Adrian Killins ran for two touchdowns on 10 carries in a 48-0 defeat of Pine Ridge (Deltona) on Friday.

This week’s big gainers in the Super 25 were No. 10 Katy (Texas) and No. 16 Spartanburg (S.C.).

Katy continued to impress with its defense as the 4-0 Tigers had their fourth shutout of the season, a 52-0 defeat of Mayde Creek (Houston), as Kyle Porter ran for five first-half touchdowns.

Spartanburg continued to put up big numbers, defeating Greenwood 42-7 as Austin Scott threw for 393 yards and five touchdowns. The Vikings (4-0) are averaging 43.5 points a game.

There were also a few minor shakeups.

De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) moved up a spot to No. 14 with its 41-3 defeat of Lutheran (Orange) as tailback Antoine Custer ran for two touchdowns. As that win was more impressive than Corona Centennial’s 35-14 defeat of Lutheran last week, the Huskies dropped three spots to No. 6 despite defeating Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) 52-0 behind a five-touchdown game by quarterback Anthony Catalano.

That shift allowed  St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.), Allen, Texas and Colquitt County (Moultrie, Ga.) to move up to No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, with easy wins.
