Burlington-Edison volleyball beat Ellensburg 3-1 for the 2A state championship.
The Tigers took the sets 21-25, 25-20, 25-15, and 25-12.
After dropping the first set, Burlington-Edison regrouped, improving their communication and finding their groove.
“We just wanted to say, keep the energy high,” said outside hitter Alana Handy. “We played phenomenal these last few days, and we know how to win.”
Handy led the way with 23 kills and 20 digs. Middle block Carly Watson had 17 kills and seven digs, and setter Allyson Ray dished out 41 assists.
Burlington-Edison also won the 2A title in 2013.
