Aquinas College senior lacrosse player Alexandra Burns, a Northville native who played at Livonia Ladywood High, will be inducted June 8 into Detroit Catholic League Hall of Fame.

Northville native and Livonia Ladywood graduate Alexandra Burns will be inducted June 8 into the Detroit Catholic League Hall of Fame.

The senior attack player on the Aquinas College women’s lacrosse squad leads the 8-10 Saints this season with 58 goals and 14 assists.

During her career so far at Aquinas, Burns has racked up 230 goals, 101 assists and 331 points, while earning National Women’s Lacrosse League All-American and All-Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference honors three times (2013, 2014 and 2015).

She was also the WHAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2015 and earned NWLL Offensive Player of the Year in 2013. She was also named all-tournament in 2013 and 2014.

Burns owns two school record, one WHAC record and one NWLL record.

Following her senior year at Ladywood, Burns set state records for goals (253), assists (22) and points (474) en route to All-Catholic (2010, 2011), All-League (2009, 2010, 2011) and Division 2 second-team All-State honors.
