Byrd guard Chad Lott is one of nine Louisiana boys basketball players listed as McDonald’s All-American Games nominees, posted to the event’s official website Wednesday.
More than 400 players from across the country were nominated.
Lott, the two-time reigning The Times Boys Basketball Player of the Year, has guided the Yellow Jackets to a 14-4 record this season.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound senior, who’s considered a three-star recruit by multiple websites, announced his top six schools back in August (LSU, SMU, Houston, UNLV, Creighton and Texas Tech).
He’s made official visits to at least Texas Tech and LSU this fall.
Other Louisiana nominees include four West Jefferson players (Jonathan Dalton, Bruce Houston, Santana Jacobs and Trevanta Robertson), St. Michael’s Jacob Evans, Higgins’ Melvin Frazier and Madison Prep’s Brandon Sampson.
