MAUMELLE, Ark. (KTHV) – After 78 minutes of strenuous anxiousness in the semifinal round, the Mustangs could finally breathe easy. They’re heading back to the state champions.

“I couldn’t say anything because when I saw that goal, All I could fell was goosebumps everywhere.” says Forward Josh Kim. Of course Kim and Senior Captain Landon Stafford has been here before. The Mustangs fell in 2014 title game to Green Forest.

Head coach and Columbia native Fabian Mina says “I’m very excited for the boys going to Fayetteville especially the state championship, and I enjoy it but this time we will get it.”

CAC will battle Danville at noon on Friday for the 4A state championship
