Nearly two weeks after decommitting from Michigan State, Homestead (Fort Wayne, Ind.) center Caleb Swanigan committed to Purdue Tuesday morning over California and Kentucky.

The Boilermakers were considered the favorite to land Swanigan ever since he backed out of his commitment to the Spartans.

Swanigan, a McDonald’s and Jordan Brand All American, averaged 22.6 points and 13.7 rebounds this past season and led Homestead to the Class 4A state championship.

Swanigan joins Hamilton Heights (Arcadia, Ind.) point guard Grant Weatherford and Carmel (Carmel, Ind.) shooting guard Ryan Cline to form the Boilermakers 2015 haul.
