Victoria Camassa had six goals and two assists, Nicole Sasso and Kaela Chadziutko each had three goals and three assists as the No. 4 Freehold Township girls lacrosse team held off Howell, 16-13, in a Class A North game on Thursday.
Jamie Weintraub added one goal and two assists and Lindsay Smith had five saves for the Patriots (5-2) as they held an 8-7 lead at halftime.
Howell’s Melena Fontaine had four goals, Reese Parr had four goals and two assists and Jordan Chan had two goals and one assist. Gabby Boeller added three goals and Kayleigh Wilson made two saves for the Rebels (3-3).
Donovan Catholic 14, Lacey 11: Abby Roth had four goals and one assist, Emma Rhoades had three goals and one assist and Kristin Bell had two goals and one assist as the Griffins (3-6) edged the Lions (1-3). Lacey’s Emily Lane had three goals and one assist, Carlie Chimenti had two goals and one assist and Rachele Cort and Caroline Fenton each had two goals.
Ocean 12, Red Bank 5: McKayla Conti had six goals and Shannon Ross made eight saves as the Spartans defeated the Bucs. Red Bank’s Mary Vilardi had four goals and one assist and Madison Wood had one goal. Devon VanLoon added one assist and Mia Nelson made eight saves.
Red Bank Catholic 18, Neptune 1: Olivia Farrington had three goals and two assists, Amanda Murphy and Jackie Mauro had three goals each, Cami Lynch and Kelly Whitlock had two goals each, Alexa Bezzone, Darby Campbell and Jess Milone scored their first varsity goals. Ariana Mancini had a goal and 3 assists and Kristen Pezzullo had 2 assists for RBC. Camryn Blanda had the lone goal for Neptune and Allie Kerwin had 14 saves.
Manalapan 15, Middletown North 5: Erin Rotondo had five goals and had 3 assists while Carly Niro had four goals and had two assists and won six draw controls and Liz Eckoff scored one goal, had 8 ground balls and won five draw controls. Tabitha Gravius had five saves and Marissa Lerner had six saves for the Braves. Middletown North’s Madison Gazette had two goals, while Cali Cook had one goal and one assist and Allyson Kirk made 13 saves.
Middletown South 9, Manchester 8: The Eagles (3-4) rallied from a 7-4 deficit with 15 miutes left as freshman Brielle Bezick (one goal, one assist) and Mallory Meahan (three goals) accounted for the final three of the game. Meahan had the game-winning goal with 58 seconds left and Natalie Pugliese had seven saves. Manchester’s Anissa Fucci had three goals and two assists and Megan Euler had six saves.
Rumson-Fair Haven 17, Point Boro 0: Morgan Steinhacker had three goals, Emily Schissler had three goals and one assist, Brittany Bruno had two goals and four assists and Elizabeth Scarrone had one goal and three assists as the No. 1 Bulldogs (7-1) defeated the Panthers (0-5). Point Boro’s Liz Peled made three saves.
Colts Neck 19, Monmouth 1: Erika Keselman led all scorers with five goals and five assists.

Lacey 22, Donovan Catholic 9: Ryan Mahon had six goals and three assists, Connor Wilson added four goals and one assist and Kiernan Quinn had three goals and five assists as the Lions defeated the Griffins. Donovan Catholic’s Peter Schlendorf had five goals and two assists, Hunter Macphearson had three goals and Dom Fratto had one goal.
CBA 2, Howell 0: Dan Dobrowolski had 27 assists, Matt Kelly had 16 digs and John Arege had nine kills, nine digs and two assists as the Colts (5-3) defeated the Rebels (3-2). Howell’s Scott Payne had three kills, three blocks, three digs and 10 assists, Jacob Brown had nine kills, five digs and two blocks and Matt Kittel had eight assists and three digs.
Southern 2, Toms River East 0: The Rams (16-0, 3-0) defeated the Raiders (1-2, 1-2) as Jake Logue had 12 kills, Liam Maxwell had 13 kills and six blocks and Mike Sprague had 21 assists and Austin Kriews had 12 digs. Toms River East’s Tyler Luszik had six assists, Kyle Unger had five kills and three digs and Evan Turner had four kills.
Lacey 2, Barnegat 0: The Lions (3-2) edged the Bengals (1-2), 25-17, 25-16, as Joe Ulrich had five kills, Steve Matarazzo had two kills and six blocks and Doug Sedyn had 15 assists. Barnegat’s Joe Scaglione had seven assists and Justin Kovacs had seven kills.
Manchester 2, Keyport 0: The Hawks (2-3, 1-2) defeated the Red Raiders (0-5, 0-5), 25-12, 25-12, as Ryan Hartnett had two kills and three aces and Kyle Pecora had two kills and eight assists. Keyport’s Willie Torres had two kills and one dig, and Kyle Lewis had two kills and one assist.
Marlboro 2, Long Branch 0: The Mustangs (2-4) defeated the Green Wave (1-6), 25-17, 25-13, as Mike Jastrzebski had four kills, four blocks and four digs and Alex Messinger had four kills and three digs. Long Branch’s Michael Mota had four assists and one ace and Nick Elashkar had four kills.
