Villa Angela-St. Joseph (Cleveland, Ohio) forward Carlton Bragg ended his recruitment Thursday picking Kansas over Kentucky and Illinois.

“On the last day of my visit at Kansas we went to Coach Self’s house and I felt the brotherly love they had there,” Bragg said. “That’s when everything changed for me. At first I kept changing and changing and changing then I started writing down the ups and downs of all the schools and we came to the conclusion.”

The stress of Bragg’s decision was obvious from the beginning when he stood up announced that he’d be attending the University of Kentucky.

Wait, what?

After the blunder, school officials had Bragg redo his announcement; this time without the inclusion of the Wildcats.

Bragg, who is ranked No. 18 overall in the ESPN 100, is averaging 20.4 points and 8.6 rebounds a game for the Vikings this season.

He is Kansas’ first commitment from the 2015 class.

Here he talks about the decision:
