Cottam received the Mr. Baseball award on Tuesday.

Catholic’s Kole Cottam is the 2015 Class AA Mr. Baseball award winner. The senior catcher was given his new title in a ceremony at Middle Tennessee State on Tuesday before the Spring Fling.

Cottam will play at Kentucky next year. He was the only one out of six Knoxville-area finalists to bring home the hardware.

Catholic opened the Spring Fling with a 13-1 (5 innings) win over Murfreesboro Central on Tuesday.
