Colts Preparing to Keep Winning Alive in Homecoming Showdown With Blackhawk
“On September 25, I’m confident that we will gain a win from Blackhawk,” says Jake Miranda of the varsity boy’s football team. Next Friday night, Chartiers Valley will be hosting their annual Homecoming game against Blackhawk. “Last season, we beat Blackhawk by only one point but I believe that we have improved overall as a team and we have a better fighting chance than last year,” Miranda continues, “we will be trying our hardest for the fans and the school.”
It is always important for the team to win on the eve of the Homecoming dance. With a final score of 28-27 last season, all students and teachers have high hopes for a big win. Knuckfest ( our Student Section), will be there with their full support and will cheer on the team until they get the win. The theme for this game is yet to be announced.
Also during halftime of the game, the Homecoming King and Queen from the Class of 2016 will be announced. With many possible candidates, this year’s royal couple will be a good one. Being led by the band, each candidate will walk across the field as they are announced and shown off to everyone in the crowd. Good luck to all of the candidates!
This year’s Homecoming game should be one for the books. With the confidence of the football team, the Colts will pull off the win. There should be a huge turnout and tickets are only five dollars to get in. See you there!
