imageThe Bellarmine cheerleading competition season has just began. They recently attended their first competition of the season. The squad placed first in their division. Junior Natalie Welk said,”I’m so proud of my team and how far we’ve come.” From now until January the girls will be competing most weekends. Their goal is to reach a score of 65 in order to be able to compete at state again. Mina de Guia said, “This competition marks the beginning of our road to state.” Last year the team made it to state and placed fifth in their division. This year the competition team will compete in the large tumbling division with 19 team members. The squad is composed of two seniors, ten juniors, five sophomores, and two freshman. Their next competition is December 12th and they hope to see you there supporting them.
