ORONO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — The Class B Girls State Swimming/Diving Championships came down to the final race to determine a winner.
Defending champs Mount Desert Island looked to make it a three-peat, but the Greely Rangers were right there with them the entire meet.
Coming into the final race of the meet, Greely had a 6.5 point lead over the Trojans.
It would all come down to the 400 Free Relay.
Greely finished the race in second place as a team behind MDI, but had built enough of a lead to win the Class B title by one half of a point.
