Clyde boys edge Perkins in tri-meet

Clyde’s boys track and field team beat Perkins by one point at Tuesday’s Sandusky Bay Conference tri-meet at Huron. The Fliers finished with 76 points, while Perkins had 75 and Huron 33.

Collin Rieman, Zach Riman, Austin Gale and Mathew Gerber won the 4×800 relay in 9:05.09. Zach Marcha, Joe Bair and the Rieman’s took first in the 4×200 (1:35.90). Clyde’s 4×400 relay team took first in 3:39.12. Collin Rieman also won the 400 (54.96 seconds). Austin Baker won the 300 hurdles, and Gerber was first in the 800 (2:11.00). Bair placed first in the 200 (23.74), while Collin Mange won the shot put for Clyde with a 48-foot, 3-inch toss.

Clyde’s girls also won.
