The Colerain football team will host Hamilton on a Thursday night game on Fox Sports Ohio on Thursday, Oct. 22, according to both schools.
The Greater Miami Conference game will be Week 9 of the Ohio season. Colerain coach Tom Bolden told Cincinnati.com it will be an excellent opportunity to showcase Cardinal Stadium with a game under the lights.
The game is expected to be televised to the entire Time Warner Cable audience in Ohio and should include parts Southeastern Indiana and Northern Kentucky.
This will be the second live TV game the Colerain football program has hosted, according to former Colerain athletic director and current assistant coach Dan Bolden. Colerain defeated Cocoa (Fla.) 17-7 in front of a national ESPN audience on Aug. 28, 2011 at Cardinal Stadium. That win snapped Cocoa’s 38-game winning streak at the time.
The Cardinals open the season Aug. 29 against Warren Central at 8 p.m. at Nippert Stadium. Hamilton opens the season against visiting Milford Aug. 28.
