COLON – Colon’s Gabe Keely made the most of his 10 carries in the game, rushing for 206 yards and three touchdowns in the 48-25 win over Tri-Unity Christian.
Also for the Magi, Kaleb Bohm scored three touchdowns on 24 yards, and James Thompson had 16 carries for 72 yards and a score.
Defensively, Keely had eight tackles and an interception, Brett Prell had 11.5 tackles, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and a blocked punt. Also for the Magi, Bohm recorded nine tackles, forced a fumble, and blocked an extra point, and Clayton Wolf recovered a fumble.
“We have battled adversity all season and Tri-Unity Christian came out firing this morning,” Colon head coach Richard Roth said. “But our boys did what they’ve been taught to do, they hunkered down and got the win.”
