CENTREVILLE – In Richard Roth’s first game as head coach for Colon, Gabe Keely scored four touchdowns and rushed for 250 yards in the season-opening game. In the first quarter, Keely scored on a 74-yard pass from Daniel Alva, and then rushed for a 38-yard touchdown to put Colon ahead 16-6. Midway through the second quarter, Keely again broke free for an 86-yard touchdown to increase the Magi lead. Just over a minute later, Kaleb Bohm scampered in for a 24-yard score. Keely would find the endzone once more on an 81-yard run in the third quarter. Centreville cut the lead to seven in the fourth quarter, but Colon held on for the victory. Defensively, Logan Vaughn led the Magi with 13 tackles.
