Despite its closest win this season, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) retained the top spot in the Super 25 football rankings. The Gaels improved to 13-0 as Tyjon Lindsey caught two touchdown passes in a a 28-10 defeat of Arbor View (Las Vegas) on Friday for the Sunset Regional Division I title.

No. 2 Allen dropped down to No. 5 after its 41-40 defeat of DeSoto, Texas, and IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) took over the No. 4 spot because it had a more impressive win over DeSoto earlier this season and because three of the teams the Ascenders have beaten are playing in either the state final or state semifinals this week. Colquitt County (Moutrie, Ga.) moved up from No. 3 to No. 2 with its 62-21 playoff defeat of Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville) as Kiel Pollard had three touchdown catches and ran for a touchdown.

There are three new teams, all of them 12-0: No. 21 Folsom, Calif.; No. 24 Roswell, Ga.; and No. 25 Columbine, Littleton, Colo.

Folsom quarterback Jake Jeffrey threw five touchdown  passes and caught a  touchdown pass in a 49-21 defeat of Franklin (Elk Grove) on Friday in a Sac-Joaquin Section Division I quarterfinal. Roswell running back Sheldon Evans ran for two touchdowns in a 34-15 defeat of Camden County (Kingsland) in the second round of the AAAAAA playoffs.  Columbine running back Mikey Griebel ran for 142 yards and four touchdowns in a 27-14 defeat of Regis Jesuit (Aurora) Friday in a 5A quarterfinal.
