Tempe Corona del Sol freshman Marvin Bagley’s stock keeps soaring like his game and measurements.
Recently tape measured at 6 feet 11 inches, an inch taller than when his freshman year began at Tempe Corona del Sol, the forward/center now finds himself as the No.8 overall prospect in the nation in Scout.com’s very first boys basketball Ultimate 100, for players in all high school classes combined.
“It’s an absolute blessing that a 15-year-old freshman is considered to be the No.8-ranked high school player of all high school classes,” said Marvin Bagley Jr., Marvin’s father, who was a top college receiver at North Carolina A&T. “However, that’s just a person’s opinion.
“The main focus is development. We just have to continue to find ways to keep getting better.”
Bagley helps lead top-ranked Corona del Sol into the Division I state tournament this week. Corona del Sol plays at home Saturday against the winner of Thursday’s first-round game between Mesa Desert Ridge and Glendale Apollo.
