Coshocton’s Seleena Murray drilled a three-run home run during a four-run fifth inning, as the visiting Redskins held on to beat West Muskingum 5-4 in non-league softball.

The Tornadoes (0-11) led 1-0 after the second, but Coshocton tied it at one in the fourth and led 5-1 after the fifth.

West cut the deficit to 5-2 in the sixth, and Carley Barker belted a two-run homer in the seventh, but the Tornadoes failed to get the tying run on base.

Peighton Gore struck out 12, scattered four hits and walked none in a complete game win, while going 3-for-4 with a double and a RBI.

Shaniqua Walker added three singles, Murray also had a single and Ally Stein hit two singles for Coshocton (9-6), which had 11 hits.

Lyndzie Lauvray had two strikeouts and no walks and allowed five runs on 11 hits to take the loss, and Barker also had a single.
