Could Tennessee shooting guard LaGerald Vick be the next player to reclassify to the Class of 2015?

Vick, a shooting guard from Douglass High in Memphis, withdrew his verbal commitment to SMU on Sunday, according to multiple reports. Future150.com and ESPN’S Jeff Borzello say there is a 50-50 chance that Vick reclassifies.

Vick was initially a member of the Class of 2015 but has said he intends to go to prep school for a year before college.

If so, he would be highly coveted prospects as schools try to shore up openings left by players they targeted by opted to go elsewhere.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Vick is the No. 30 shooting guard in the Class of 2016 and the No. 4 overall player in the state of Texas. However, Vick has impressed this spring during the Under Armour Association with Team Thad and his stock is on the rise.

Vick committed to SMU in October over Georgia Tech and Wester Kentucky, but he also had offers from Alabama, Providence, Ole Miss and Tennessee among others.

Derryck Thornton from Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) has reclassified and committed to Duke. Guard Lamonte’ Turner from IM Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) reclassified and selected Tennessee last week.

Thon Maker and Jamal Murray from Orangeville Prep in Ontario are both weighing their options, with Maker expected to reclassify. Maverick Rowan from Cardinals Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) also is potentially aiming to reclassify.
