Union County Tournament quarterfinals

Governor Livingston 10, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 0 (5 innings): Second-seeded Governor Livingston (12-3) defeated seventh-seeded Scotch Plains-Fanwood in the Union County Tournament quarterfinals. Taylor Hendrzak and Alex Foley both knocked in two for the Highlanders. Jamie Belfer earned the win with one hit allowed and four strikeouts in five innings. Governor Livingston will face the winner of third-seeded Rahway and sixth-seeded Elizabeth in the semifinals on Saturday.

Cranford 4, Westfield 3: Fifth-seeded Cranford scored two runs in the top of the sixth to defeat fourth-seeded Westfield in the Union County Tournament quarterfinals. Jillian Skalski went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Candice Durant added a run scored for Cranford. Kristen Toth and Elena Elliot each scored a run for Westfield. Elliot allowed four runs, three earned in six innings for Westfield (6-8).

H/W/S Tournament quarterfinals

Voorhees 6, Kittatinny 5: 3A-seeded Voorhees (10-5) scored three runs in the fifth and sixth innings to defeat Kittanniny in the H/W/S Tournament quarterfinals. Rachel Katzenberger and Tara Morash drove in two runs each with a double. Victoria Furka scored twice and drove in a run for the Vikings. Voorhees will face the winner of 1A North Hunterdon and 4B Lenape Valley in the semifinals on Saturday.

Regular Season

Hunterdon Central 5, Randolph 1: Jess McGuire went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs for Hunterdon Central (12-3). Marissa Devincenzo added an RBI for the Red Devils. Emily Colalillo earned the win with one earned run, with four hits allowed in five innings for Hunterdon Central.

Gill St. Bernard’s 8, Mountain Lakes 0: Emma Corbett pitched a gem with four hits allowed and 14 strikeouts for Gill St. Bernard’s (10-7). Eliza Brookman and Meg Donlin each scored twice and Claire Chestnutt drove in two runs for the Knights.

Plainfield 17, St. Mary’s 3: Arianna Diaz earned the win with two hits and four strikeouts in four innings for Plainfield (2-7). Karelis Acosta hit her first home run with five RBIs for the Cardinals.

Watchung Hills 11, Ridge 0 (6 innings): Gina Priore and Kayla Schinik each scored twice for Watchung Hills (11-4). Morgan Pittfield earned her first varsity win with four strikeouts and two hits allowed with a walk for Watchung Hills. Torry Rosenthal had a double and Jen Middleton singled for Ridge (2-17).

Somerville 20, Manville 2 (3 innings): Haley Naftal earned the win for Somerville with two innings of work, while scoring three times and driving in four runs. Kim Camacho drove in three runs and Jazley Szierer added a home run with two RBIs and three runs for Somerville (4-11). Sam Loriot hit a double and drove in a run for Manville (3-8).

Middlesex 8, Franklin 1: Michelle Wisniewski allowed four hits and four walks while striking out four, earning the win for Middlesex (6-9). Wisniewski also collected two RBIs with a triple. Kristie Tackach homered, driving in two RBIs and scoring twice. Sarah Smith took the loss and hit a solo homer in the sixth for Franklin (7-7).
