Navarre’s Matt Cronin scattered two hits and struck out 15 batters over seven innings of work as the red-hot Raiders advanced to the District 1-7A title game with a 9-1 win over No. 1 seed Niceville.
The Raiders gave Cronin all the support he would need with a four-run second inning and then left the masterful left-hander work his magic. Cronin gave up only one run on two hits and walked two batters.
Michael Sandle went 1-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs while Octavion Moyer was 1-for-3 with a run and RBI.

Aggies stunned in final inning
For the Tate Aggies, this season will likely be defined by a 13-0 start and a runner-up finish at the 22nd annual Tate Aggie Classic.
The Aggies saw their season expire on Tuesday night, as Crestview piled six runs in the top of the seventh inning to bounce Tate 12-11 in the first round of the District 1-7A championship.
Colter Hancock issued a stellar performance for Crestview, earning the win on the mound and driving in four runs off three hits in the batter’s box.

Catholic advances to finals
The Catholic Crusaders locked up their 18th straight trip to regionals, but will first look to avenge two regular-season losses to West Florida after beating Marianna 10-1 on Tuesday.
The Crusaders will host the Jags at 7 p.m. Thursday for the 1-4A title.
Evans Bozeman went the distance and struck out 11 in the Catholic win. Brandon Lockridge was 2-for-3 with a homer, four runs scored and an RBI and Carl Gindl was 4-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs.

Jaguars claw Walton to advance
Mikey Jones picked up his seventh win of the season, remaining perfect on the mound as West Florida handled Walton 10-2 in the District 1-4A semifinals on Tuesday.
The Jaguars will face Catholic in the district championship on Thursday at 7 p.m. — the third meeting between the teams this season.
Jones fanned eight batters while allowing just three hits. Offensively, the Jags’ saw Adam Ostergaard and R.J. Lewis combine for five RBI.
West Florida swept Catholic during the regular season and finished district play 6-0.

Northview advances to finals
Brody Amos lifted a sacrifice fly to drive in Roman Manning with the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday as the Northview Chiefs advanced to the District 3-1A title game with a 4-3 win over Jay.
The Chiefs will play the Holmes County/Chipley winner at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Manning led off the sixth with a single, moved over to second on a sacrifice bunt and advanced to third on a passed ball. That’s when Amos stepped to the plate and belted the sac fly to plate Manning.
Chasen Freeman picked up the win in relief after giving up only one hit and striking out two in two and one-third innings of work. Thomas More went 2-for-2 with a double to lead Northview at the plate.

Central keeps momentum going
Malone put early pressure on Central, but the Jaguars responded with four runs in the bottom of the first before winning 11-1.
The Jags’ advance to the District 1-1A championship on Thursday against Paxton.
Aaron Robinson (8-2) earned the win and left the game with four strikeouts.
Reid Grant went 3-for-4 to lead Central. The Jaguars have combined for 37 runs in the first two games of the district tournament.

Escambia advances to semis
The Escambia Gators got out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth as Sebo Hathaway got a huge strikeout to allow the Gators to advance to the District 1-6A semifinals with a 7-3 win over Washington.
Hunter Viets picked up the win on the hill after striking out seven and scattering eight hits through five and two-third innings of work. Hathaway came on to get out of the jam in the sixth and strike out two more batters to earn the save.
Escambia will take on Milton in one of the 1-6A semifinals today at 7 p.m. Pace takes on Pine Forest in the other semifinal after the Eagles advanced with a win over Pensacola High on Tuesday.
