Conor Stack of Arlington, Caroline Timm and Zachary Ropes of Our Lady of Lourdes and Theo Henderson of Haldane each won at the Section 1 League championships at Bowdoin Park late Wednesday.
Stack won the League 1 boys 5K in 17:02.48. Sean Murray of John Jay finished second in 17:05.64, while Joseph Morrison and Eric Sbrollini, also of Arlington, took third (17:47.56) and fourth (17:49.41), respectively.
The Arlington boys finished first overall with a total time of 1:29:24.14 and an average time of 17:52.83. John Jay took fourth with a total time of 1:35:46.89 and an average time of 1:41:38.46. Roy C. Ketcham was fifth with a total time of 1:41:38.46 and an average time of 20:19.70.
On the girls side, Arlington finished second with a total time of 1:45:13.33 and an average time of 21:02.67. John Jay was fourth with a total time of 1:45:13.33 and an average time of 21:02.67. Ketcham was fifth with a total time of 2:07:35.75 and an averaged 25:31.15.
Timm won the Conference 1 League 5K in 19:01.59. Fellow Warrior Isabella Clark finished third (22:10). Jamilyah Reed from Beacon took fifth (22:51) while Paige Baisley was sixth (23:10).
Ropes won the boys 5K in 17:09 while Will Whelan took second (17:17). Axavier Wajid of Beacon took fourth (18:07) while Evan Ireland was fifth 18:07.10).
As a team, the Lourdes boys finished first with a total time of 1:29:42 and an average time of 17:56.40. Beacon finished second with a total time of 1:31:54.60 and an average time of 18:22.92.
Henderson took first in Conference 1 League 3 5K in 17:30.60. Matt Whitworth of Pawling was second (17:30.91) while Nicholas Farrell of Haldane was third (17:33.78).
As a team, the Pawling boys were first with a total time of 1:31:41.89 and averaged 18:30.30. Haldane was second with a total time of 1:32:32.51 and averaged 18:30.51.
Katelyn Huggard of Pawling was second in the girls 5K (20:31.92). Ruby McEwen was third in 21:44.11. The Haldane girls finished first with a total time of 1:56:42.43 and an average time of 23:20.49. Pawling was third in a total of 1:58:09.34 and an average of 23:37.87.
New Paltz duo wins — A.J. Fazio finished first in 19:14 for the New Paltz boys cross country team in a tri-meet with Spackenkill and Rhinebeck late Wednesday. Jess Cohen won the girls 5K for the Huguenots in 21:33.
McMorrow leads Dover — Kevin McMorrow took first in the 5k, completing the course in 17:40 to lead the Dover boys team late Tuesday. Teammate Andrew Lee took sixth (21:14).
Marlboro’s Cliff Rood took second (19:02), Billy Bernicker was third (20:25), Zach Dreyer finished fourth (20:49), and Tyler Maas fifth (21:13).
Bryanna Mazzella took first (23:49) to lead the Marlboro girls team. Teammate Jen Herd took second (24:25). Dover’s Lindsay Demers finished third (24:34).
