CV's Christmas Breaks

By

A holiday that many students are looking forward to, Christmas, is coming near, and with that comes the holiday break from December 24th to January 4th. The holiday break is an excellent time for vacations, visiting family, being productive, or simply lazing around at home to take a break from the stress of waking up early every morning and going to school every day. This year, the dates of January 2nd and 3rd fall on the weekend, so it makes the longest break in the year even longer this year, which is why the holiday break is an excellent time of year to make plans. Dominic Piganelli, a junior, said “I am going to be spending my Christmas break in California with my family.” Heather Page, a freshman, said “I will be visiting my friends and family in North Carolina.” Winter Franklin, a senior, said “I will have a friend from New York come down to visit me, and after I’ll be visiting relatives in Philadelphia and New Mexico.” It is clear that the students of Chartiers Valley have a large variety of plans for their holiday breaks, and no matter what they plan to be doing, the truth is that every student in the school needs this break, and will definitely be enjoying it, though it may seem like it didn’t last as long when it ends. It will be nice to take a break from school and let our minds get refreshed so we can come back in January, more receptive to learning new information.
