A day after Will Muschamp was hired at South Carolina and word of his coaching staff began to emerge, four-star defensive end Jordan Smith announced his decommitment on Twitter. The move also comes after Smith took his second unofficial visit of the fall to Tennessee.

Smith, from Lithonia, Ga., had committed to South Carolina in late July and will graduate high school this month before enrolling in college in January. He said he is down to Tennessee and Florida.

Coach Ward is the Gamecocks’ co-defensive coordinator. Muschamp is expected to hire Travaris Robinson, who was with him last season at Auburn and was Florida’s defensive backs coach from 2011-14 when Muschamp coached the Gators.
