Ryan Schumacher was 4 for 4 with over 120 yards passing and 13 carries for 131 yards to lead the John Jay High School football team over Scarsdale, 36-14, on Friday.

Jaivon Reynolds had two receptions for the Patriots, including a 50-yard touchdown reception, according to John Jay coach Tom O’Hare.

Travis Contreras chipped in with a 53-yard touchdown reception of his own.

The coach highlighted his defense for holding Scarsdale to two scores, its lowest tally of the year.

“I couldn’t be happier with our defense for holding them to those two scores. That’s a team that scores 30-plus just about every week,” O’Hare said.

“Our defensive coaching staff did a great job with in-game adjustments… it was a good win on the road against a good team, and we’re excited to be home next week.

John Jay (3-1) hosts North Rockland Friday at 6 p.m. in its homecoming game.
