The Rocky Mountain Hog Farm: producing and training lineman with big college and professional aspirations
PARKER — It’s a gym. It’s a gym for the linemen, the big guys up front. The Rocky Mountain Hog Farm created “The Barn” for high school football big guys to train and work on their football position up front. Created by Head Coach Bruce Kiphart, former college athlete and high school football coach; the Hog Farm aims to develop the positions skills and prepare linemen for college football and beyond.
One of the programs successes resides within Colorado’s powerhouse linemen Dillon Reinkensmeyer of Valor Christian who has verbally committed to the University of Virginia as an offensive tackle. The Barn is getting Reinkensmeyer ready for his senior year before heading off to the Cavaliers. The 6-foot-6, 270 pound offensive tackle will be a big asset (literally) for Virginia in 2016.
Other high school players from Legend, Lutheran, and even future linemen yet to go to high school train with Kiphart and Performance Director, Mark Fierro prior to the start of the 2015-16 season. The boys are worked to their core. Sweating and hydrating after each workout before getting ready to do it all over again.
