The Reynolds High School girls basketball team forfeited two games this week after being short-handed as a result of disciplinary action that made multiple players ineligible, according to a statement released Thursday from athletic director Chris Coleman.

Reynolds was set to open league play against No. 2 Oregon City Tuesday night and take on Central Catholic Friday night.

Here is the full statement from Coleman:

“Multiple members of the Reynolds girls varsity basketball team violated team rules. They are being disciplined per District athletic policy. As a result, the team currently does not have enough members to compete safely at the varsity level and is forfeiting both games this week.”

The Raiders were 5-5 in non-conference play. They are scheduled to return to the court on January 13 when they host Centennial.
