Coach John Shillito: “Of course it’s been a good year to get this far. Our senior group has several three-year starters for us, and going into the (finals) their record is (38-2) as a group. We’re very proud of that. We got a really good test from Unity Christian and it helped; it reminded us how to play in order to be successful.”

We had one turnover in the first three playoff games and that’s a huge plus. We had nine (turnovers) the same span the year before and that’s how you go home.”

To me this never gets old because kids are awesome. They are fun, they work hard and are just awesome, and to me that makes it all fun. Our tradition is great defense and we’ve been playing solid there, and we’ve been able to run the football very well, and we have to do those two things for continued success.”

We’ve had a lot of good teams before but have never been to Ford Field. … So this is all pretty exciting. We’ve played good football all year. I don’t think we’re playing differently, but we’re definitely playing our best football as of late, and this is the time of year you want to be doing that.”
