FIRST TEAM

Blake Benefield

Siegel, Senior

Position: Outfielder

Why chosen: The MTSU signee was the District 7-AAA Player of the Year and the DNJ’s Position Player of the year. He had team-highs in batting average (.429), home runs (five), doubles (11), triples (four), runs scored (25) and RBIs (34).

Charlie Fultz

Riverdale, Junior

Position: Infielder

Why chosen: Fultz hit .404 with a county-high seven home runs, 11 doubles and 36 RBIs.

Jake Hammon

La Vergne, Senior

Position: Infielder

Why chosen: The Morehead State signee hit a team-high .411 with 12 doubles and 14 RBIs.

Matt Harnish

Blackman, Junior

Position: Infielder

Why chosen: Harnish hit a team-high .374 with 17 runs scored and 20 RBIs.

Camron Harper

Smyrna, Senior

Position: Outfielder

Why chosen: Harper led Smyrna with a .449 batting average and drove in 23 RBIs.

Christian Hill

Eagleville, Senior

Position: Pitcher

Why chosen: The Freed-Hardeman signee went 7-1 with a 1.33 ERA. He struck out 88 batters and was the District 9-A Pitcher of the Year.

Jordan Jackson

Central Magnet, Junior

Position: Outfielder

Why chosen: Jackson hit .466 with 13 doubles, two home runs and 37 RBIs. He also stole 46 bases.

Dylan King

Riverdale, Senior

Position: Pitcher

Why chosen: The Belmont signee, who was drafted in the 25th round of the MLB Draft by the New York Mets, was 7-1 with a 1.49 ERA. He struck out 80 and walked just four batters. He was The DNJ’s Pitcher of the Year and the District 7-AAA Pitcher of the Year.

Carson Lester

Position: Designated hitter

Why chosen: The MTSU signee hit .384 with 10 doubles, three home runs and 19 RBIs.

Riverdale, Senior

Position: Pitcher

Why chosen: Neal went 6-0 with four complete games. He had a 1.53 ERA with 39 strikeouts and seven walks.

Darek Sargent

Central Magnet, Junior

Position: Infielder

Why chosen: The District 8-AA MVP hit .421 for the season with four home runs, 15 doubles and 46 RBIs.

Tyler Wagner

Position: Pitcher

Why chosen: Wagner went 7-2 in 59 innings with a 1.78 ERA. He struck out 56 batters.

Why chosen: In his final season, Vetter got the Bulldogs within one game of the TSSAA Class AAA state tournament. After finishing third in the District 7-AAA regular season, the Bulldogs were tournament runner-up.
