This just in: Duke fans might as well abandon all hope; the Wisconsin Badgers are cutting the nets down in tonight’s national championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
That’s the truth according to Badgers’ prized recruit Brevin Pritzl.
As you may have guessed, Duke’s incoming sharpshooter Luke Kennard sees tonight’s game going much differently.
He thinks the only team that’ll need scissors after the final horn sounds will be the Blue Devils.
We had both players break down why they feel their team will be standing on the podium all smiles watching the famous “One Shining Moment” video on the jumbotron.
The Wisconsin Sell
Brevin Pritzl, De Pere (De Pere, Wis.), SG, 2015
Here’s why my Badgers will win the national title… “We faced Duke earlier this year; I was down for that game and I thought that we were outplayed. However, I think that, as a team, after watching the last couple of games, we have developed our games together. We have really improved as an overall team. I feel like all of our players, after beating Kentucky, feel like we can play with anyone, as if we already didn’t know that. With Sam (Dekker) and Frank (Kaminsky) leading us I think that it is very possible for us to beat Duke if we play a good, complete team game. I think that we are playing at a much higher level right now which will really benefit us.”
Pritzl’s final score: 60-56
The Duke Sell
Luke Kennard, Franklin (Franklin, Ohio), SG, 2015
Here’s why my Blue Devils will win the national title… “Because Duke is playing really great defensively. If we can contain Sam (Dekker) and Frank (Kaminsky) we’ll win this game. I think Jahlil (Okafor) will be the key; I think he’ll have a huge game.”
Kennard’s final score: 74-68
