DRESDEN – Winning pitcher Dylan Dupler scattered four hits with 10 strikeouts and three walks and had three hits at the plate, as visiting Sheridan topped Tri-Valley 3-2 Friday in the Muskingum Valley League.
The game was scoreless going into the fifth inning when Connor Dupler singled home Dylan Dupler for a 1-0 lead.
The Generals (7-5, 5-2) made it 3-0 in the sixth on Dylan Dupler’s two-run single.
The Scotties came back with two in the home half of the sixth. Ryan Rider brought home a run on a groundout, and Graham Hudson delivered a RBI single.
However, Tri-Valley (4-5, 3-3) was retired in order in the bottom of the seventh.
Hudson was the losing pitcher, giving up three runs on seven hits with six strikeouts and five walks in five innings and Tyler McGee also doubled.
