Dylan Harrington takes game to Seton Hill

Irondequoit football coach Dan Fichter watched defensive back Dylan Harrington intercept six passes as a junior and then six more last season.

“He’s an unbelievable player,” Fichter said. “He has phenomenally long arms, everything guys are looking for at cornerback. He has a tremendous sense of the game, of where he is in space.”

While national signing day in February came and went, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound Harrington does have a place to play next school year. He has committed to play at Seton Hill, a Division II school in Pennsylvania.

Aquinas graduate Donato Clemente is a defensive back at Seton Hill. Hilton tight end Reide Metzger, Webster Schroeder quarterback Brett Segala and Aquinas linebacker Theron Eison also have committed to Seton Hill, which is coached by Geneva graduate Isaac Collins.

“Early on in the process they were right there,” Fichter said. “I’m excited for (Harrington). He is smiling and happy about his decision.”
