Johnson finishes in the top 50 of 2016 U.S. Men's National Under-19 Team tryouts
KUSA — Cherry Creek Bruins, Dylan Johnson, is among some of the top lacrosse players in nation for his age, making the top 50 for the 2016 U.S. Men’s National Under-19 Team tryouts. After a three-day tryout at Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Md., the top 50 athletes were selected for the U19 training team. On Aug. 7-9 at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md the second round of tryouts will commence and the final roster will be submitted.
The final weekend will cap with a Team USA Blue- White exhibition game. The final roster will consist of 23 players out of these 50 athletes.
Johnson had 8 goals, 2 assists as defenseman and won 18 ground balls during his senior year in 2015. He was a strong part of the Bruins team in their 2015 5A State Championship boys lacrosse state championship.
