This recipe is super easy and is always fun to make. My grandma never knew how to cook (or bake), nor did she care about learning how, but when she could find any easy recipe she would make it, over and over again. This is one of those recipes, so hope you enjoy!
1 can refrigerated breadstick dough
3 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup sugar
1 ½ tablespoons cinnamon
2 oz. cream cheese
2/3 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons milk
¼ teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Melt butter in a small bowl. Combine cinnamon and sugar on a plate. Unroll and separate breadsticks. Stretch one breadstick slightly, roll in cinnamon sugar. Fold breadstick in half and twist together, then place on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining breadsticks to make 12 cinnamon twists. Bake for 12-14 minutes until cooked through but still very soft.
Soften cream cheese and combine or whisk with other frosting ingredients. Drizzle frosting over twists once they have cooled.
