JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One of the First Coast’s top 2016 offensive line prospects is headed north of the Florida-Georgia border.

Ed White’s Jordan Johnson announced via his Twitter account, Wednesday, that he has committed to Georgia Tech.

Johnson, the younger brother of former Rutgers offensive lineman and current Baltimore Raven Kaleb Johnson, is the 21st ranked guard in the 2016 class by both Rivals and 247Sports. Both have him ranked as a three-star prospect. ESPN has him as a four-star recruit and the 23rd ranked player at his position.

The Yellow Jackets win out in the Johnson sweepstakes over a number of top-notch schools including Ohio State, Miami, LSU, Virginia Tech, and Ole’ Miss (among others).

The 6-3, 260-pound Johnson plans to graduate from Ed White in December and early enroll at Georgia Tech in the spring.
