Favorite sports memory: My favorite memory was when we beat Stratford High School in overtime to win the conference title my sophomore football season. I kicked the winning field goal to win it in overtime. It was one of the most intense and emotional plays of my entire varsity career.
Advice to an athlete: My advice would be to always have a positive attitude. It is something that you have complete control over and it’s the most significant factor in determining success or failure. You have the ability to do whatever you want to do. Attitude truly is everything.
Inspiration: My inspiration throughout my sports career was Justin Sinz. Justin was a senior when I was in seventh grade and received a scholarship to play football at Purdue. I wanted to be like Justin because he was one of Edgar’s greatest athletes and was also my next-door neighbor. I looked up to him a lot.
College plans: Next fall I will be attending Northern Michigan University on a football scholarship. I will be majoring in pre-dentistry and will strive to become either a dentist or orthodontist.
