Since returning to the Indians following an injury, Fuller has been a major difference maker. In a Big Eight Conference victory over Jonesville, the senior guard poured in 19 points to go with two assists and three steals to help Athens improve to 10-6 on the season. In 10 games this year, she’s averaging a team-best 14.3 points per game.
Olivet boys’ basketball
Facing a previously unbeaten Quincy team this week, Whitely went off for a game-high 23 points in a loss for Olivet. He followed by leading the Eagles to a narrow victory over Perry, netting a game-high 18 points to help Olivet improve to 9-7 on the season. For the year, he’s averaging a team-best 18.5 points, 4.5 assists and 2.6 steals per game.

Marshall boys’ basketball
The Redhawks got one game over the .500 mark in impressive fashion with an eight-point win over Interstate Eight foe Parma Western. Marshall improved to 8-7 overall by finding balance on the offensive end with four players reaching double figures, led by Forrest Jackson and Montez Brewer with 12 points apiece.
