Evidently Texas sent photoshop edits to a BUNCH of recruits on the same day

In recent years, photoshop edits of everything from Rolling Stone covers to motivational posters have become a recruiting collateral of choice. The mailers seem to do the trick, with recruits routinely posting images of what they receive from schools across social media.

That begs the question: Do the schools send all their edits out in one mass mail dump, or do they phase them in so as to add an emphasis of personalized attention for every young athlete? If a recent series of tweets from Texas prospects ia any indication, it sure seems like top programs are happy to get the edits in the hands of players as soon as possible, political considerations be darned.

Andrew King, who covers Texas football for The Football Brainiacs, took it upon himself to re-tweet each and every Texas football recruit who posted an identical photoshop job. Here were the results:

That’s seven players boasting about identical photoshop edits the same day. And they’re almost certainly just the tip of the iceberg, as the Horns are obviously recruiting a heck of a lot more than seven prospects. Still, early indications appear that these players are plenty excited about Texas’ latest outreach, no matter who else is receiving it.
