The auditions are long over, the cast list has been posted, and the fall play has been announced. Chartiers Valley High School will be doing “Rehearsal for Murder.” Rehearsal for Murder was written in 1982, by Richard Levinson and William Link. It has won an Edgar Award in 1983 from the Mystery Writers of America. The selected students of Chartiers Valley are very excited to preform “Rehearsal for Murder”.
The cast consists of nine leading roles, which are mostly double casted, five supporting roles, which are double casted as well, and finally there is a character ensemble. The cast is made up of all grade levels in Chartiers Valley.
A senior, Adrienne Elion, who is playing the lead role of Monica Welles, says “It’s going to be exciting, since for the past three years it’s been a comedy. A drama will be a new experience for both cast and audience.” Junior, Allie Nomides is playing Bella Lamb, another lead role and she says “Nice.”
The title is also very intriguing; “Rehearsal for Murder” is pulling in students of Chartiers Valley High School one by one. Senior, Dream Vo quotes “I’m very excited for this play, it sounds like an enigma of mysteries.” “Rehearsal for Murder” is a fall play to look forward to, be sure to see it the twelfth through the fifteenth of November!
