COLUMBUS – Fifteen area Division III and Division IV high school football players were named All-Ohio by the Associated Press Tuesday night.
Ashland’s Nivek Lewis, a 5-11, 195-pound senior, was picked as a first-team defensive lineman in Division III, while Madison junior wide receiver Tyrell Ajian (6-1, 187) was second team.
In Division IV, Shelby sophomore quarterback Brennan Armstrong (6-2, 190) was second team, while Ontario senior Alex Vredenburgh (5-10, 170) was second team as well.
Making special mention in Division III were Madison’s Sean Williams, Lexington’s Tony Gerrell, and Ashland’s John Wolfe, Grant Denbow and Alex Webb.
Earning special mention in Division IV were Highland’s Jacob Ware, Satchel Denton and Zach Baker, and Shelby’s Devin Tuttle, Devon Brooks and Dylan Shaffer.
Crestline grad and former Wynford football coach and athletic director Travis Moyer was named Division III Ohio Coach of the Year at Wapakoneta.
