This week’s Courier-Post Mean 15

This week’s Courier-Post Mean 15 rankings:

1. Delsea 5-0 (Last week: 1) – Another high-scoring game as the Crusaders put 57 on the board against Pennsauken. Quinn Collins with three more TDs. Downside, they gave up 36.

2.St. Augustine 5-0 (2) – Shamere Collins and Kyle Dobbins have big nights as Hermits continue to play well.

3.Cherokee 3-1 (5) – Huge victory at home over then-No. 3 and previously unbeaten Williamstown. Maybe the Chiefs are, in fact, exactly what we thought they would be.

4.Lenape 4-0 (6) – Bryce Long continues to get it done for the Indians, who have won 13 of their last 14 games. Two TD passes and a rushing TD against Allentown.

5.Camden Catholic 5-0 (8) – Nazir Streater clearly proved he is among top juniors in South Jersey. Went for 199 yards, including 66-yard gallop for TD, and return INT 43 yards for another score in win over then-No. 4 Camden.

6.Hammonton 5-0 (11) – Blue Devils continue stellar play, dropping 41 on Clearview. Big one at Delsea on Oct. 23.

7.Williamstown 4-1 (3) – Braves come back to the pack a bit after falling on the road against two-time defending SJ Group 5 champion Cherokee. They could see each other again.

8.West Deptford 4-0 (7) – Will play at Sterling on Monday after Colonial Conference game was moved from Friday night.

9.Paul VI 4-1 (9) – Bounce-back win for Eagles over Winslow Township after falling to Delsea in heartbreaking fashion. Matty Vitale with two TD passes and a rushing score.

10.Camden 3-2 (4) – Played hard against Camden Catholic but far too many penalties doomed the Panthers. Brad Hawkins had two TDs in loss.

11.Timber Creek 3-2 (10) – Chargers got big game from Tyreek Williams as they snapped two-game skid with 14-0 win over then-No. 14 Kingsway.

12.St. Joseph 3-2 (12) – Went to Charm City and came home with loss to Mount St. Joseph, No. 3 in the Baltimore Sun’s poll. A valuable experience that coach Paul Sacco hopes will benefit his Wildcats as we moved into second half of season.

13.Washington Twp. 3-2 (13) – Junior quarterback Mike Piperno with four TD passes in 41-0 rout of Eastern. Three in a row for a Minutemen team that’s playing well and looking for more.

14.Haddonfield 4-1 (NR) – Frank DeLano picked up career win No. 100 as the Bulldawgs had their way with Woodbury.

15.Salem 5-0 (15) – A team that played in last year’s SJ Group 1 final, the Rams are showing they just might be the team to beat in 2015. Big win over Pennsville in WJFL Classic clash.

Out: Kingsway 1-3 (14)

Under consideration: Buena (4-1); Burlington Twp. (4-1); Pemberton (5-0); Shawnee (3-2)
