Licking Heights 52, Heath 13

Gabe Caldwell threw three touchdown passes Friday to lead the Hornets (4-1) to a Licking County League crossover victory against the visiting Bulldogs.

Caldwell was 13-of-16 for 285 yards. He threw scoring passes of 81 yards to London Pearson and 39 yards to Nate Thacker during a 28-point second quarter. He later added a 55-yard touchdown pass to Pearson.

Joey Harrell ran for 121 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown run. Adrien Hammonds added two touchdown runs and Keshawn Moore one.

Aaron Latiolais had scoring runs of 10 and 5 yards to lead Heath (3-2). He was 9-of-14 for 131 yards through the air. Simon Romine had three catches for 93 yards.

Gahanna 45, Newark 7

D’ante Woods ran for a fourth-quarter touchdown Friday as the Wildcats avoided a shutout in an Ohio Capital Conference-Ohio Division loss.

Gahanna (4-1, 2-0) blitzed Newark (0-5, 0-2) with 31 first-quarter points.

Woods gained 63 yards on 11 carries. Ty Scott was 10-of-24 for 103 yards and three interceptions, and Ashton Gilkey had three catches for 62 yards.
