Justin Morter hit Cadin Emshoff on a 36-yard touchdown pass in the fourth period Friday night to wrap up a Northern 10 victory for visiting Mohawk. Morter also broke a scoreless tie with a five-yard run midway through the third period. Derrick Sowers boosted the Warriors’ lead to 14-0 on a nine-yard run late in the third period. The Rams trimmed their deficit to 14-7 early in the fourth period on a 49-yard Kolin Holloway to Tanner Smalley pass.
Morter completed six of 13 passes for 78 yards for the Warriors, with Emshoff catching two for 43 yards, and picked up 60 yards rushing on 17 carries. Sowers had 14 carries for 72 yards. Holloway hit three of four passes for 69 yards for the Rams, but had a pass picked off by Sowers. Holloway also led the Rams in rushing with 95 yards on 16 carries.
