GASTONIA, N.C. — The Forestview Lady Jaguars dominated Ashbrook Friday, winning 60-31 en route to sole possession of first place in the Big South Conference.

Forestview’s defense stymied the Green Wave, holding Ashbrook to just 12 first-half points. With the defense controlling the tempo, Forestview’s offense took advantage of the opportunity, outscoring Ashbrook by 11 and 10 points respectively in the first two quarters, taking a 33-12 lead into the locker room.

Forestview’s Nikkyana McCaskill had a game-high 26 points for the Jaguars. Sophomore Shaiquanda James was a force in the paint, hauling in 12 rebounds. Senior Bri Adams had a big night for the Jags as well, scoring 14 points in the runaway victory.

With the victory, Forestview is now 18-0 all-time against Ashbrook at home. Forestview returns to action Friday when they visit Hunter Huss. Ashbrook also gets back to it Friday when they host Lake Norman Charter.
