Former Raiders INF Max George gets the call-up to Colorado Rockies Class A.
KUSA – After just 10 games in short season Single-A this year with the Boise Hawks, former Regis Jesuit star infielder Max George got the call-up to Class A to play for the Asheville Tourists in North Carolina, the Colorado Rockies affiliate.
Last summer in Grand Junction, during the Rockies Rookie League, George put up big numbers in 46 games. The 2014 6th round draft pick had a .301 batting average, .433 on-base percentage, 19 RBI, 30 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.
The former Gatorade Player of the Year bypassed a scholarship to play at Oregon State so he could begin his journey as a professional ball player right out of high school.
